.Joined Conference of the German Soil Science Society (DBG) and the Soil Science Society of Switzerland (BGS) 2019

The conference will take place in Bern from the 24^th of August until the 29^th of August, 2019.

The theme of the conference is: Soil-Richness and Soil-Landscapes.

Besides the Geographical Institute of the University of Bern the University of Basel, the following institutions will host the conference:  l’Université Lausanne, the University of Zurich, the University of Applied Sciences for Agriculture, Forestry and Nutrition Technology (HAFL), the Agroscope, the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL), the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research (WSL), the special department for soil protection in Zurich, the administration of Agriculture and Nature (LANAT), pro natura and the Federal Office of Agriculture (BLW).

The convention rooms are all in the main building of the University of Bern, parallel sessions will be guaranteed.

To strengthen the practical skills of soil science, a soil contest will be organized (see SOIL CONTEST).
